Utah - Colorado
Larry's job takes him along the pipeline through Colorado and Utah. Here are co-workers from Rangely, Colorado near Douglas Pass, elevation 9,000 feet. On the right is Barry Orgill, the Director of Operations who replaced Larry in Salt Lake City when Larry moved to Houston. We visited automated valves that close if a landslide damages our pipeline over the pass.
Starkey ascent near Parachute, Colorado. This is a new pipeline we installed on mountain with a 3,000 foot vertical ascent.
On the same trip we came upon cowboys moving their cattle near Vernal, Utah.
At the Piceance Basin, one of the most prolific new gas reservoirs being developed in the U.S.
